KSS Orbital Construction Now With Part 4!!!

Welcome to the KSS Orbital Construction thread. In this thread i will build a massive space station in orbit of kerbin and. I will show when i launch the modules. I hope you like it.

Part 1 The Core

Pad 1 at KSC the Delta IV Medium lifts off with the KSS core.

Max Q.The powerfull main engine powers the Delta IV closer to space

The main engine shuts down prior to separation

Separation of the first stage and ignition of the second stage

The payload fairing separates revealing the K.S.S Core

Now the core is in orbit. And soon more parts will be added to form the K.S.S

Part 2 Docking Module 1

This K.S.S Module is based on the real world ISS module Unity. This one will be used for attaching a Thruss, Lab, Airlock and a Hab. The K.S.S Could not be build without it.

All systems are go for launch.

Part 3 Service Module

This will be the third K.S.S module. It will be attached to the retrograde facing port on the core. It will include extra power to the station. And a propulsion system. It will also store monopropellant and fuel for orbital boosts. It will also have 4 docking ports used for attaching a Docking Module and a Power module. Sorry for night launch.

Question: Doesn't covering the hatches on the hitchhiker can make it pretty much impossible to get kerbals out of it?

(I think you could still transfer them into it, but I don't think you could get them out)

The hatch on the core is not blocked.

I was referring to the Docking module, as it looks like a hitchhiker can with docking ports covering the window and the hatch.

I suspect that if you accidentally transferred a Kerbal into that piece you could not get them out without removing the docking port covering the hatch.

For some weird reason you can tranfer them around if the hatch

is obstructed.

Guess what just happend a thruss i was gonna dock smashed into the K.S.S Reverting.

Part 4 Construction Power Module

This is the 4th K.S.S module it will be attached to the Service Module. It's based on a cancelld russian power module. It will be used to provide electricity to the station during construction. it will be a thruss with 2 large solar panels on.

Here is the launch events.

The mighty Delta IV stand on launch pad 1 at the KSC.T-10 Minutes and counting. fueled to 100% Weather is GO! LOX Tanking is GO! Range is GO! Launch Area cleared Gimbal is GO! T-5 Minutes T-2 Minutes. All systems are GO!

T-30 Seconds Status Check GO! Delta GO! K.S.S Construction Power Module
