Current:

Wing Mounted British .303 MG (Will be subject to changes in model)

Custom .303 Ammo

Hispanio Suiza .404 + Faired Version (20mm Ammo)

Vickers S Cannon (Cannon Shells)

Finished:

MG 131 (.303 Ammo(Only because it's a bit pointless to have a custom resource for one gun)

Planned:

Weapons:

M1919 machine gun + Miscellaneous Versions (.303 Ammo)

MG 131 (.303 Ammo)

MG 151/20 (20mm Ammo)

MK 108 (30mm Ammo)

Frazer Nash FN20 Power turret (.303 Ammo)

Cant Z.1007 Upper Turret

SM.79 Dorsal Hump

Combos(Not Yet Implemented):

MG 131 + MK 108

Hispanio Suiza .404 + M1919

A note on combos: The way combos work is that they are still separate parts but will share the same title, with the name of that specific gun in the description, so say if you were putting 4mgs and 2 cannons on a spitfire, you would place 2 of the M1919+HS.404 (M1919 version) on each wing, then one M1919+HS.404 (Hispanio version) on each wing. This way it tricks BDA to using two different guns at the same time, it's currently the work around until we get proper support for multiple weapons.

Nice! But a small request: I want to release the German and Soviet guns as a separate pack since I created them for the tournament. Agreed?

Perhaps, just, i was planning to do this before BAD-T even existed, just that have been working towards it slowly. As what i gave to tetryds i had already done but not released/released through my planes pack. However this will not be balanced for a challenge or anything, instead it will be based directly off of historical statistics.

Pictures!

I have a link to the progress album underneath the download link, as for in game pic's, their yet to come ;)

I'm so excited for this. This is going to be great! :D

Thanks!!!Good to see some enthusiasm. :)

Could you plan on adding bombs and rockets? HVARs, Tiny Tim, RAF 4000lbs Cookie  and other bombs that were commonly used?

I suppose, however i have tried making a HVAR but it didn't really work and the Tiny Tim, while awesome, im afraid would be subject to similar issues:(. At some point i may do bombs, but making some of the guns on the list is my main priority.

What issues have you had with the HVAR?

AI won't use it, is impossible to aim, weirdness. This is because BDA doesn't really support part based dumbfire missiles. I might fiddle a bit later, but for now i have a more than extensive ToDo list, and believe me as soon as i get one thing crossed off i'll end up deciding to make another 2+ things.

Ohhh, does that mean we get the ShKAS? Fun times. 3,000 rounds per minute of superior socialist lead :P

I know there were some HVARs that were stored in tubes under the aircraft's wings, so if you decide to give HVARs another shot that could be a nice place to start.

On a similar note, going into lands I know little about, but what if you made an HVAR/clamp combo and made it as a rocket pod? Then we could have exposed HVARs that we could actually aim. Theoretically. Really I'm clueless about these things.

(EDIT) If all else fails you could try asking Baha to work his magic so BDA can support part-based dumbfire rockets. (/EDIT)

Anyways, since I know you are doing WW2 guns, think you could make the external gun pod for the F-82?

Maybe at a later stage, as right now i'm battling with making slotted cooling jackets.

Easily the best part of this pack are the sound effects for the HS.404! So accurate!

I try :)

Man... this is what I need... just one thing, I thought the MG 131 used .50 ammo not .303 but the rest of what you are planning is just awesome...

Well even though this has been in planning for a while, i may end up upsetting Azimech if i do the German guns. So yeah ;). Right now i need to figure out how to easily make some of the more complex parts, as the evil is in the detail :) Look at the Hispanio to see what i mean, not only does recoil compress the return spring, but a round magically jumps out of the drum into the receiver.

Just looked it up, the MG 131 uses a 13mm cartrige, as opposed to the 7.7mm 303. Should i add another ammo type? Also remember that those ammo values are only projected , so are defiantly subject to change. So for example the Vickers S might be changed to use custom cannon ammo, so that the ammo weighs 3 pounds per shell.

I know that the MG 131 used 13mm ammo as opposed to .50 or 12.7mm but would it not be easier to just use the pre-existing .50 cal ammo to make it easy on you? Of course I can see you're all for the realism here and I love it! It's great! Thanks for developing this by the way. If you do have the time though I would like it if you took some time and made 13mm HE ammo and the 20mm and 30mm minengeschoß ammo for the MG 151 and the MK 108. That'd make this even so much more impressive, of course making a mod takes a lot of time so no pressure if you can't get those into the mod. I think for now you should prioritize stuff like the models and then do stuff like add custom ammo like the 13mm ammo. My suggestion for now is for you to just stick with the pre-existing ammo and then when you finish up the models make some custom ammo.

Pretty much my dev plan. Just keep in mind this is my first mod, and my first attempt at modeling. :) Currently i'm doing a rework for the M1919 so it follows the same principle as the Hispanio, i.e i make the whole gun.

Which weapon should i make now? As i can't decide and need some motivation.

Bomber turrets!

Ideally the quad .50s from the B-29 or the twin 20mms from the He-177, as they're remote turrets and very quick to model i'd assume.

Alternatively, bombs, as you could make one model, and rescale it for everything for most sizes.

I would like to suggest the British RP-3 "60-pound rocket" ground attack rocket.

Also, the cannons are beautiful, but I would suggest using an edge split modifier, and smoothing the model. Makes everything look much cleaner.

I need to do some fiddling to make unguided, aim able rockets. As for textures and models i know they need some work, but this is my first attempt, but believe me I am at least thinking about it.

Having looked really closely at the rocket pods, each rocket is modeled inside of there, so just model the rocket rail with the rocket on it as a rocket pod.

On the subject of rockets, i want a X-4.

But unfortunately i don't know how that works. And as it is i'm learning everything as i go, so maybe in the future i will bug Baha about it, who knows.
