[1.0.5] CST-100 Starliner - 3.75m 7 Seat Crew Vehicle! (v0.7.6 Nosecone fix and more!)

Recommended Posts

I'd really like to see this mod revived. I love using this alongside Tundra Exploration and it's a shame that parts like the parachute, nosecone, and aeroskirt are backlit.

Contares has Starliner components which work well.

I don’t like Contares, it’s too stockalike.

Nothing is stopping you from doing it yourself.  Most likely there are just minor things in the config files such as bulkhead profiles, tags, etc. which need adjustment

What I experienced

1. The parachutes have weird textures when stowed and deployed

2. The nosecap has the same issue as above.

3. Everything is fine other than those two things

4. I guess it just needs some fixing in unity

5. I'll try to do it

Uh, I don't even remember writing that. However, when Starliner separates from Centaur, it produces a push and the capsule is thrown off balance. Nothing SAS can't handle, but still a bit annoying.:D

Just change the decoupler force in the cfg file to whatever you like

I guess I fixed most of them, but a fix in unity is the way to go, let me know if you need anything.

Works fine in 1.7 and 1.8, seems to be a 1.9 specific issue

Are those the ones that had their unity version updated?

It looks good!

Same one in my download link. It seems 1.9 changed something about textures, many custom textures I've made for other models have the same "over-bright" issue

@Drakenex could you test it in 1.9.1?

I was just informed that the new Unity version on KSP 1.9 checks for the shader applied to all meshes. The parachutes in this mod doesn't have the correct config in Unity.

KSP 1.8 had its unity version updated

yup, but that problem wasn't present on that version.

I'm still learning how to update that on Unity. But for this mod in particular I don't have the source files. And I never imported mu files into Blender/Maya.
