An early attempt at a working jet engine.

It still needs a lot of work but the basics are there. The Wheesleys turn the rear most blade which in turn drives the front blade. The Wheesleys also provide some forward thrust.

Should anyone be interested at having a look or improving the design heres the link for the download http://kerbalx.com/erasmusguy/Tubs-011

Well, the main 'animated' part of a rocket engine is is power pack - it's basically a turbine hooked up to turbopumps to pump all the fuel and oxidizer to the combustion chamber :) (afterwards, depend on the design - some use multiple powerpacks like the SSME - which runs fuels rich on one and oxidizer rich on the other) :)

Other thing you could animate might be a gimbal system :)

Erasmusguy, I love your turbofan! btw they look nice but you don't need the fuel lines anymore.

Rocket Rocket engine: using Procedural Fairings you can make awesome rocket combustion chambers and nozzles, of gigantic proportions. But you need the mod to let engines fire inside a fairing.
