Very cool!

Does this work in IVA? (I mean the kerbals, but also the background as well)

Looking at future options, is it possible to make the kerbal's themselves, rather than the suits, greenscreen?  Actually, i wonder what happens if you use texture replacer with a 'transparent' kerbal head... off to test this evening...

I haven't tested in IVA. I would imagine Chroma Vessel still works but not sure about kerbals.

Would be difficult to just turn the kerbals themselves green as they are made up of so many different parts and filtering through them could be difficult.

Seems like it lacks the most important feature of greenscreen: Chroma world.

That would allow one to e.g. land Kerbals on Mars, by using Mars photos (or The Martian footage). Generally, have all the "movie action" recorded, and add the scenography in postprocessing.

Wasn't able to do what I was hoping for.  I tried using Texture Replacer to give a kerbal a transparent texture, but she became albino.  Back to the drawing board (or gimp editing board) for my next project then!

You could write a simple plugin that simple disables the gameobject.

You could do something like:

foreach gameobject in kerbal

if name = [names of all the objects you want to hide]
gameobject.setactive(false)

You will have to find all the names first thoug

would it be possible to throw up a greenscreen in the VAB/HAB? Would love to make it easier to move around those workers to where I actually want them. No worries if it can't be done - they cast shadows on parts and I recall a greenscreen mod that used a flat green cube part that I could lay on the floor.

I've got some free time now so I can do it. It shouldn't take more than a 10-20 minutes plus the time it takes for the update to be approved.

I really do need this kind of mod, and this one is the only one I can find. Does it still work or is it broken?
