Good to know, thanks again for doing this!

Should be up on dev now. If you launch with the probe core enabled and no crew on board, it will warn you about there being no control, but it will actually work. It just thinks there's no control as that's what the default state of the part was (a 1 crew requirement). But if you have any crew or any other probe core on the craft you shouldn't even get the warning. It also just has SAS level 1, as I can't switch that module with B9 and didn't want to add the partupgrade system to it (it's buggy as heck without KSP Community Fixes installed), but if you want more SAS modes you can chuck on a star tracker, or use MechJeb's SAS instead.

Just added upgraded 50kw dual solar arrays and an update to the power tower base to make it look more interesting.

Each solar side has its own solar module so make sure to deploy each side one by one and let the animation finish before doing the other (it wont break the craft but you may need to reload the scene to reset the interrupted animation otherwise). Actually this advice doesnt seem relevant anymore, came across this earlier with a slightly different model setup, deploying both at the same time seems to work fine now. Although if it does happen try the above.

This is also retractable and I've added that ability to the single as well.

What about it do y'all hate?

It's ugly and perhaps more to the point it would be a weird set of parts that are huge, requiring large textures but completely unmodular and cant really lego with other parts. On the other hand the Saturn V derived MLV parts in the mod are high modular and can be configured in all sorts of ways to make up even heavier (or smaller) launch vehicles. We feel thats the Saturn V upgrade path that works for us.

Will there ever be saturn C-8 parts?

If you want Saturn C-8/ Nova rocket, NFLV has 7.5m parts that can make a good S-IC-8

I disagree. The C-8 parts can be made to be just as modular as any of the other parts. I mean, it's literally just a giant tank and an engine skirt like the S-IC on the Saturn V. Making adapters for the S-IC-8 would be no different than the adapters for the S-IC or the S-IVB imo.

As for ugly, I disagree with that too, but to each his own.

Also, kind of funny you find the Saturn V with four strap-on LRB/SRBs okay, but not the S-IC-8 which would be less complex and less resource consuming on the game.

I seriously don't get how this is ugly.  I mean, it's just an Americanized N-1, and I've never heard anyone call the N-1 ugly.

N1 is at least conical (more or less). This is just a bunch of different tank sizes and adapters of different diameters (312in, 5m KSP; 408in, 6.5 KSP; 576in, 9m KSP), almost all of which have no applications outside of this concept.

I think you have the wrong sizes for KSP. 14.5 is way too big.
S-IVB - 6.6m IRL/4.375 KSP (Though the S-IVB used on C-8 is stretched in length)
S-II-8 - 10.1m IRL/6.25m KSP
S-IC-8 - 12.2m IRL/7.5m KSP

I assume that the skirt isn't taken into account, so the skirt would probably end up being around 8.125 or 8.75 diameter KSP size.
The S-II-8 is just a stretched S-IC with an 8 engine radial engine mount.
The S-IC-8 tank and skirt is admittedly a one off after thinking about it, but combine it with NFLV's 7.5m parts and it becomes highly legoable.

I need help for I somehow landed on Venus and got back. Unfortunately I don't have external pics of the launch of Roddenberry but I have some interior pics.

Billy Bobfred and Hayski Kerman are back again.

I have a question for the Devs of this mod. WHAT THE CENSORED are those Apollo landing legs made out of to withstand and survive Venus? I thought they were just metal wrapped in foil but for some reason they lasted this long. JK.

I figured as much.

My point still stands that C-8 would be a good fit for BDB. I mean, BDB uses 1.5m parts which cannot be lego'd outside BDB, so the "C-8's first stage is unlegoable" is kind of moot imo.  At least with NFLV it would be legoable, unlike the 1.5 parts.

I'd say the same with the 0.9375m parts, but thankfully there's tons of adapters to/from various sizes to 0.9375m to help with Lego-ing. But as far as I know, only BDB has 0.9375m parts, so that's a thing.

Tantares, and Benjee's and Well's mods all have 0.9375m size parts, but I don't think any of them have 1.5m size parts.

Is loading times the only thing BDB affects, or does framerate get affected too?

In my experience for BDB, it's mostly waiting time. Some parts mods do affect framerate to some degree in my experience, particularly Nertea's Stockalike Station Parts. Though to be fair some of those parts are pretty fancy, especially the centrifuge modules, and even then it only gets really bad when you turn on the interior overlay (for me it's still passable).

@RodgerI had a really nice limerick prepared that started "There once was a chimp named Ham," but it got a little off color near the end, so I decided instead to just ask ... do you have  any plans to do this for Mercury?

Probably not for balance reasons, but if people really want to, put this patch in GameData: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/966275238851653732/1011065747973345330/MercuryProbe.cfg

I have a question for the Devs of this mod. WHAT THE CENSORED are those Apollo landing legs made out of to withstand and survive Venus? I thought they were just metal wrapped in foil but for some reason they lasted this long. JK.
