More or less. Staara-20 is based on various iterations of Altair stage, which was introduced on Vanguard and used on several launchers including Thor-Able, which launched Pioneer 1. You should set it to the very first mode (X248) and use 0.125m top. The real X-248, btw:

As for the clipping - there is nothing can be done about this except stacking several 0.125m decouplers. Old Pioneer had a special decoupler which functioned as a tall 0.3125-0.125 payload adapter; it was somehow omitted from 1.7. IIRC Zorg had plans to make it (and several other adapters). Fortunately, antennas don't have colliders, so it's only a visual bug.

Does anyone have any docs talking about the C-1 "Common Engine"?

Apparently, it was being developed by Thiokol in the mid-60's and was at one point suggested as a replacement for the SPS main engine as part of the Apollo Applications Program.

Lovely. :) Though it's still not quite as "smooth" as the real thing, it's probably the best we're gonna get. Even better than the "official" models I've seen. This shape is maddeningly hard to get right in 3D:

Thanks and yeah it was very difficult and not at all enjoyable to work on unlike the rest of the engine. I think the area around the vernier looks pretty good and the other side is probably just ok. Allowances have to be made for KSP cylinders being 24 sided so have to start with that as a base even if the polycount is higher in those scooped areas. Also adjustments had to be made to get it to look not horrible with KSPs rather bad shadow system.

The 68A (black ablative nozzle) is used on Delta 4, the 68B (white ablative nozzle) was proposed for constellation, and the one with the SSME-esk regeneratively-cooled nozzle is fictional.

Its not entirely fictional, it was never made but was proposed/discussed at various levels of seriousness for Delta itself, for Ares V (I think) and even DIRECT. Its worth noting that the turbo machinery was designed with tolerances supporting running a regen nozzle. But the ablative nozzle was used for cost reasons.

yes it seems the white nozzle RS68B had the same performance as the A model, the new ablator enabled a longer burn time for the Ares V mission and it also included modification specific to human rating. But the performance improvements were taken from the A model.

RS68 regen, based on figures I was provided from a DIRECT document, 911kN and 435s.
