Paper KSP

So today at work there was an evacuation, and I thought it would be a drill/minor (they said we had to evacuate for technical reasons)...

Well, I couldn't get my stuff or access the internet for over 9 hours due to an Ammonia leak (and even 9+ hours later, the whole building stank of ammonia, and I was only let in in a small group escorted by a firefighter).

Well, my studio is nearby, but I had no TV, computer, or wireless for my ipod... I did have a pad of grid paper and a pen...

My next mission I was planning on undertaking in career mode was a Moho trip... so...

How many of you have ever resorted to paper KSP when bored?

Ha! I do this all the time. Going on a smoke break? Taking my clipboard and pen with me.

PC is down? Clipboard and pen.

At this point, I've probably got 100+ pages scattered about with different drawings of spaceships, bases, lists of modules, plans, etc etc etc

I find it really great way to get ideas a little more fleshed out, and it's always nice to review a few times, and think of improvements and such.

I even started putting together something in PowerPoint to "sketch" ship ideas... but it was taking too long to do while "working" and took too much time away from real KSP when at home...

oh!! that s so close to my office. But we didn't get to evacuate..

On topic I only use paper to list requirements for big expeditions and sketch a very rough layout for the ships.

I designed the "Angrybird" mini shuttle on paper before building it in KSP. Didn't go so far as to do Delta-v calculations but was going more for aesthetics.

I have a loose-leaf notebook full of KSP stuff. Not so much sketches, but lists of action keys for particular ships, or coordinates of Easter eggs I've located (so far)... I have tons of notes.

heads up guys, someone made a paper layout for this very reason! I am going to print a bunch of these off for school.
