I think need a Soviet planes like a :Yak-9, La-7, Il-2, Pe-2, TB-3

That's a really good point. I once worked on a Yak-9 but failed at the cockpit, and an attempt at an IL-2 failed at one point as well.

I was thinking about an La-5FN as well, but I might need to expand on the other nations first before setting to work on the Soviets.

Updated thread; new centered logo and description.

I bet a Yak-1 wouldn't be too hard, neither would an I-16.

An I-16 would be a breeze -- the size and open cockpit would make it easier than some other planes.

A Yak-1 though would be somewhat more tedious, especially with that cockpit.

I don't know if this has been asked yet, but how did you make those fighter cockpits with struts just floating midair? Was it .craft editing or something else? By the way, these look great.

Thanks! I used Editor Extensions Redux for the strut editing (It has no offset limits which is vital), I made a tutorial about it at the near-bottom of the page here: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/39663-open-source-construction-techniques-for-craft-aesthetics/&page=41#comment-2578629

I have to admit it's a little strange not seeing the Bayerische Flugzeugwerke here. I suppose the Fw 190 will have to represent. Germans sure knew how to build their fighters.

Are you referring to the Bf 109? It's supposedly there, the first plane in the German category.

Oh I guess they are the same. Never heard of that name though. Possibly that for some of the variants.

It's usually called the "Messerschmitt" or "Me 109" or the "109", and it has a lot of names, so that's not unusual

You should definitely add the Hawker Typhoon to the British list. It deserves some love too... :(

(Great replicas btw.)

I actually considered the idea, and nearly finished a similar-looking Tempest, but I have no idea what happened to it. A Typhoon would work great with rockets, too. I'll try giving it a shot again when I finish my other projects.

And also, imagine a long-ranged Bf 109.
