Different Cameras

I\'ve tried searching for this topic but I\'m not coming up with any results.

I\'ve seen some Youtube videos of camera angles I\'ve not seen ingame such as a camera looking from the surface of Kerbin zoomed into a rocket high up etc.

Are these mods?

Thanks for the quick reply. I guess I unzip this into the Plugins folder?

Just drag the files within the 'Plugins' folder into the KSP plugin directory and the files within the 'Parts' folder into the KSP directory of parts. Sorry if that was a little confusing, it\'s hard for me to explain. You may want to wait for a better guide.

Those are just optional. I didn\'t use them. But if you want to install them, go into the camera part folder and just drag it in. It will overwrite the original though.

Those alternate configs would go in the parts folder so they overwrite the vanilla game files. They replace the vanilla configs with information allowing them to give you a cockpit view.

OK maybe I\'m being a complete mong but I\'ve put everything where it\'s meant to be but F7 and F8 do nothing...Nor is right-clicking. Why don\'t they put a readme in these zips?

Are you putting the cameras on your ships? They are in the slot with the parachute if you don\'t know.

So are all the cams on the craft? I saw a cam on Kerbin pointing up at a launching craft like the footage you see from NASA launches. I assume this doesn\'t have that?

With the cameras you can get virtually any angle you like. Just use WASD or Q and E to rotate them.

Not sure, you may want to check the original thread. I\'m not entirely sure about the limits of this plug-in.

Nope, atm they are currently only usable by attaching to a craft.

It helps if you also get the robotics mod so you can use the hinges to adjust the angle after you drive it to the location.
