My First Rover atempt

Recommended Posts

Hope someone can use this.

I modified Rover Wheel Sounds to my own liking: transplanting the sound of the huge wheel onto the ruggedized wheel, giving any rover with those wheels a macho Diesel-like roar, much better than the whine of the originals.

My recording software & KSP seem to dislike each other, therefore lag.

The vehicles in the vid are my stock 38t high speed amphibious trucks, capable of driving with max 60 m/s. They can drive with 5 of the 7 wheels on one side broken. The purple one completed a circumnavigation around Kerbin. The green one can drive, sail and fly. Oh en they're miners too, so they have infinite range.

I did similar moving the sound of the rugged wheel to the M1 rover wheel.. It makes the perfect traction motor sound indepenent of the main generators..quite useful too as it indicates wheel slip with higher rpm :)

See at 3.40 time.. As the generator winds up to power the traction motors (modified m1 wheels)
