Does 64 bit hack still work?

I wanna know is KSP 1.0.5 still unity 4.64? Because if it is, then I can use the 64bit hack, which is why I think my game keeps crashing.

1.0.5 reports 4.6.4f1, same as 1.0.4, but I was unable to get the 64 bit hack method to work.

I must have messed up my Unity 4.6.4 installation at some point. Reinstalled it and went through the file replacement again and 64 bit hack is working on KSP 1.0.5.

A tiny side step...
Just want to say that ksp 64bit version run really good on linux. ( tried it on linux mint, and Ubunto ).

I installed ksp on my slow laptop computer and ran the 32 bit first and it ran rather slow and had allot of lag.
Then I run it in 64 bit version and the game ran really smooth.

So technical speaking if some of you guys cant live without 64 bit then you could try installing linux and steam and then play ksp that way in 64 bit ;-)

Worked for me, but I'm running 1.0.4, my 1.0.5 is all stock and EVE so there's no need.

on Windows it still works - so its the same basic engine... just copied mono & ksp.exe from 1.04.
donno what it is like for OSX - just wanted to tell you that the basics didnt change.

im running ksp modded on 64b, it crashed occasionally BUT i changed 1 thing and it never crashed on me again and it wasnt mod related at all.
all i did was i changed from CKAN towards to KSP mod admin and in there i imported all my mods and at the bottom right next to launch KSP there i have the option Force OpenGl. i checked it and it got rid of all my CTD's
so its really worth a shot and the mod admin can be found here if you use the search button.
