Is using F12 (aerodynamic forces overlay) considered as cheating?

I am somehow sure it was asked before, but I couldn't find any similar topic.
This question's been bugging me for a while. You see, I love using that thing, it greatly helps me with gravity turns and maintaining stability. But is it generally seen as cheating? It is most certainly debug tool but hey, KER is not considered cheating despite it giving more information than stock game provides.

Yes it is. Everybody who uses it is very bad human being. Cheating in video games should be immediately criminalized and every guilty should be tortured to death if front of audience. There should be a government agency which instruct an official right way to play and everything else would be cheating. If there is any doubt, it is cheating and player should be treated as cheater.

No. Pressing F12 to see the aerodynamic forces is as much cheating as viewing your vessel's mass in the map view. The only real 'cheat' options (and even then it's debatable as it [I]is[/I] a single-player game) are inside the ALT-F12 menu.

Its not cheating... But it is harrassment and discrimination..

See the way I see it.. KSP is a steam game mostly...one of the best selling ones... So whoever thought it would be awesome to have ugly blue and red lines grow from your spaceship when you just want to take a steam linked screenshot...I think had thier head screwed on backwards that day..

Yes it can be changed but its an affliction effecting many less savy of the PC master race..Perhaps itlll appear when you press...up... On the xbox edition :)

Furthermore.. The ugly yellow text that then without any grace.. Applys itself to said screenshot turning beautiful vistas of trees..trains and mountains into a questionably titled captions.. In my case that trains wont fly willingly nor safely while blue and orange triangles dance around the wheelsets seemingly taunting my poor locomotive that galaxy railways she is not... Saddens me greatly

Is it cheating? Well if I wanted to ruin a beautiful screenshot with inapproprate text... I would simply create a meme :)

Oh man... ruining screenshots.. happened to me far to many times. Eventually I just bound aero forces to F1 or something, free to screenshot in peace.

In my opinion, the only really "cheaty" things are in the Alt+F12 menu (debug menu), and even some of [I]those[/I] are disputable. Of course, it's a singleplayer game, so you could say just about anything is/isn't cheating...

A: Everything is cheating.

B: Nah. In general, if you don't need the debug menu to activate it, it's just a game feature. Same with the thermal overlay, although it may sort of slightly be cheating when I use the thermal overlay to see ships easily at night xP

The arrows you see are not the actual aerodynamic forces, just decoys to keep you occupied until the internet police arrives. Alerting them is what F12 actually does.
