Hi all!

I've been creating rover designs recently. I have made a few, but my main problem is the lack of ability to go up steep inclines. Any tips?

The TR-2L Ruggedized Vehicular Wheel and RoveMax Model XL3 have the most traction. Personally I prefer the TR-2L over the XL3 for exploration rovers. The XL3 fits better on mobile bases.

Make sure you have enough weight over the wheels. Not enough weight might cause your wheels to spin.

This six wheeled beauty managed to climb 45 degree inclines on Minmus.

I created this rover for anomaly hunting on the Mun:

 

 

I kept the centre of gravity as low as possible, with SAS and RCS for stabilty in low gravity.  There's plenty of traction from the 10 wheels and the cross braced chassis keeps the whole thing stiff.  If it does go over the delicate stuff is protected and the lander legs will flip it back over.

 

It works well on steep inclines:
