@Andem I use Fireworks. Yes, I'm still cranky about Adobe dropping Fireworks from its lineup. Photoshop, After Effects, etc., simply aren't as good for web graphics as Fireworks.

Thanks, I'll check it out... I'm also interested in making some packs of my own :)

Love the Ribbon packs! I especially like how crisp and clear the Rank packs are. Makes it very easy to distinguish which Kerbals are what rank, especially when they have a lot of Ribbons.

Are you still taking requests for Role ribbons? I recently started using Kerbin-Side, and in order to use bases to their full capability, it helps to keep a Kerbal on-site at the bases to use the in-flight 'Base Boss' manager and editor window. I'm planning on building and installing Air Traffic Control/Mission Control towers at each base I open, with a permanent staff installed there to manage base operations. I'm planning on using your role ribbons to help distinguish the Kerbal's jobs at each base. :)

Your existing role ribbons seem to cover all the roles I can think of, except two; I'm hoping to staff an Air Traffic Controller at each of my bases that have a runway (and also give them a headset instead of a helmet for their IVA suit!). An alternate name that might be a bit more mission-agnostic would be Communications Specialist. Another, albeit niche role that I'm hoping to use at each base is a Financial Officer (since Kerbin-Side adds financial operations and office buildings on planetary bases, plus staff). However, I'm still not sure which class a Financial Officer would fit into. Maybe I can find a way to implement custom classes? :P

Another idea that I had, which would be a fair bit more work, would be the implementation of 'role ranks' into the role ribbons, distinguished by gold/silver bars or stars like in your expedition ribbons. For example, Nuclear Engineer could be split into Nuclear Technologist, Nuclear Engineer, and Chief Nuclear Engineer.

Love the pack and keep up the good work!

Suggestions, yes! Absolutely!

Actually I like that idea. So I'll work it in.

I think this can be included in the Admin. role.

I think this might be getting a bit fine grained. There's existing ribbons (that I did too haha) in FF for this already...

could you make a ribbon for my ISS replica expeditions, thanks

Sure. But I need more information:

Tell me about the expdedition. I need to know the name of the expedition, but... Where is it? What is its purpose? What has it done? Is there anything interesting about the place that you think might help me out? A screenie would be awesome as well, but not really required.

its called the ISS, so just ISS commander, second in command etc. its in a 100x100 km Kerbin orbit, and its a station to create peace between nations

I'm currently working on a Duna self-sufficient colony station called Anchor One. I have a flag too, inspired by the ISS blog's logo:

Would you mind making an expedition ribbon for me? If you don't want to, that's OK too. I gotta say, your expedition ribbons look great.

Done. I'm not quite happy with it. I wanted to get the left panel to be sort of a multiflag thing, but it didn't work. It might change if I get back to it again.

Done. Providing me wth the logo made it easy. :)

I inadvertently included all of my packs in the last expeditions zip file. If you didn't want any of the other packs, then you should remove my whole folder before unpacking the new update for the expeditions pack. Sorry about this guys. This is one of the drawbacks of trying to multitask getting a 1yo to settle and gettting some Kerbal stuff done at the same time.

I love the ranks but for fun you should make any kerbal that is a warrant officer completely useless and constantly misses briefings and launches but gets paid more than all enlisted personnel....its like that in the Army anyway lol

I wish I was a warrant officer.

I'm just a lowly, bitter  sgt

Just as a heads up, that version of Expedition Ribbons is marked as `5.1.1` on spacedock (and subsequently CKAN). If your next release isn't a higher version than 5.1.1 the release will be "hidden" in CKAN unless we manually intervene. It's a trivial fix, but because it'll need to be performed manually we'll need to be poked when it happens. The simplest/fastest fix IMO would be to release version 0.5.1.1 on spacedock and then we can fix it at that point.

OK. I've actually done a couple more, so that should be going out tonight as 5.2. Thanks!

@SmarterThanMe Just wanted to advise you of a minor-seeming CKAN conflict.  In attempting to select and install multiple ribbon packs, I received the following CKAN error:

Oh no! We tried to overwrite a file owned by another mod!
Please try a `ckan update` and try again.

If this problem re-occurs, then it maybe a packaging bug.
Please report it at:

https://github.com/KSP-CKAN/CKAN-meta/issues/new

Please including the following information in your report:

File : GameData/STMRibbons/EngRoles/FinalFrontierCustomRibbons.cfg
Installing Mod : STMsFFRibbonPackExpeditionRibbons 0.5.1
Owning Mod : STMsFFRibbonPackEngineeringRoles
CKAN Version : v1.16.1-0-g2e91715 (beta)

Your GameData has been returned to its original state.

Ha, note that CKAN does not format this text in such an easy-to-read fashion -- the "invisible carriage returns" on my Windows7 64-bit system force the above code to be smooshed into just a few lines of text, which I simply copy-pasted here.  Good to know that the interface here on the forums will help me make sense of it.

Anywhoozle, I'm slowly progressing through CKAN one screen-length at a time (since my Linux64 experiences lead me to worry about CKAN crashes when installing lots of mods, and I'm in the process of stress-testing v1.1 in Windows) but this seemed pertinent to what you're doing here.  Thanks for an awesome set of ribbon packs!
