Why would you expect it not to work, if you could enlightening me as to why it would not? I had tested it myself and checked the logs. I just want to make sure I am not misunderstanding the issue. Since I loaded up KSP with EVE, SVE, OPM, Kopernicus, Extrasolar and it all works fine for me with this change.

I downloaded all three low, med and high SVE texture packs and non contain that file. So it either misnamed or the file is missing.

Yes, I’m aware, but I won’t have time to fix it this weekend.

 

It looks like I am on AndrewsDrawsPrettyPictures ignore list, so I think I'll just move on.

I'm not exactly sure what you are meaning by this? I'm not purposefully ignoring you guys, it's just that I'm doing other things in real life and in other games.

So wait, are there still any problems after Barar's fix? Sorry I'm having a hard time following what is actually happening lol.

The Kopernicus onDemand compatibility would be the most important step I guess, followed by the clouds.

If SVE also comes in a new onDemand flavour soon, it could go just better I think...

So I landed on Fust, and then this happened:

Album a/2OVzZ will appear when post is submitted

It would appear that the radius of the graphics and the radius of the actual terrain do not match up. I'm wondering if this is some known bug that has some easy fix I'm not aware of... Or maybe I should test some of the other planets and see if it happens elsewhere?

I have OPM and Planetshine, but otherwise no graphical enhancements (EVE, etc.). I do have other mods, though. If you'd like more information, let me know.

(It really felt like falling into an alien trap! The ocean was an illusion, and the terrain underneath was a barren wasteland! XD)

Sounds like a problem with the ocean graphics not loading. I'll get back to you in a bit. In the meantime, could you post your output log, and a screenshot of your gamedata folder? I want to make sure that you installed everything right.

Instead of

I just used
@EVE_CLOUDS:BEFORE[StockVisualEnhancements]

and until now - in flight mode and after switching through all celestial bodies in map mode - I got no more nullrefs.

And I got clouds.

Edit: Actually, the ocean texture does seem to load in. Or at least, it looks like it does. I don't have it in any of the screenshots, but I passed through what appeared to be the ocean on my way down. Like, I thought I was about to crash into the surface of the ocean, and then I passed right through. If I zoom out from where I am, I can see the surface of the ocean above me, and it looks like I'm deep underwater. It's as if the radius of the planet's texture doesn't match the collision. The atmosphere at the altitude of the apparent ocean was extremely thin (which is why I thought I was going to crash--it didn't slow me down enough for my parachutes to deploy by the time I hit). After I passed through, the air got thicker, and I landed like normal (with parachutes), except onto an invisible ocean layer. Maybe there's multiple layers of LOD textures, and I never transitioned between the distant one and the closer, more detailed one, but I definitely saw an "ocean" on the way down.

I also had a weird EVA on Kerbin surface glitch, said "Flying low" and I couldn't move - I mean I moved backwards all the time.

This was after a 12 day orbit contract. During that time everything was fluffy.

Because I was "Flying low" I could not exit to the tracking station to recover.

And because I was in the atmosphere I could not switch the vessel (aka. switch to the landed pod).

I had to load the last autosave, after retro burn and avoid EVA after landing.

I had this issue a while back, forgot I made this Fust Patch. It uses the CTTP ocean textures. Also if you have Better Looking Ocean installed, it will use those textures.

I found the problem to be that the water was not at the proper level, it completely submerged the planet. I forget, but it was some 20000M up from the surface, and the water was pretty grey and dark. I played around trying to get it to work, I just ended up using %removeOcean = true and built a new one.

Hopefully the patch will work for you. Should just need to drop it anywhere in your GameData folder.

So, after a bit of testing, it seems installing Extrasolar is causing all of my OPM planets to lose their textures? I haven't the slightest clue as to why this is happening really :(

This is my test GameData folder:

I've tried it with and without the PoodsOPMVO textures, and seems to make no difference. Removing Extrasolar seems to be the only way to get them back so far. EVE, Scatterer, Kopernicusetc are all fresh downloads of the latest versions, as well as Extrasolar of course.

No worries, thank you for the info though! OPM just recently updated in the last few days also, so that could have done it as well for all I know really.

Something probably changed with OPM between 1.1 (which is the last time I checked if OPM worked with Extrasolar) and now.

It's kinda funny how different players have different issues regarding the same (?) mods not playing well together.

:P

I mean, tbh, this makes it soooo easy for mod devs to pinpoint the root of an issue. <- ironical

Soo true! I see you're also running OPM with this, are you on the latest OPM build?

@DracoSilverpath yes, I just boot up KSP with latest updates of OPM, Kerbalism and Toolbar (plus the Fust Patch mentioned above).

So here are the goals for the next update:

- Include visuals for the stock solar system so that using SVE is unnecessary

- Include various patches curtesy of @Barar

- Ensure Extrasolar works with OPM

Shouldn't take too long, really.

Try to have 3 texture packs in mind: low, medium, high (as separate downloads)
