The public release will likely be modular. This was an early closed alpha stage variant, which was one part.

The Skyranger is currently in closed beta, but we do have a working version. It will likely have IVA, semi-modularity, and all animations upon launch.

Each different color is a different part.

Especialy those VTOL engine looks are intresting parts, if it is working as in XCOM that it.

Yeah, it does work like in XCOM, for the most part-- the VTOL balancing is something we're currently working on. However, the VTOL wings are modular parts that you can use on any craft (and the wings fold in!).

We're getting real close to a public release, and it is 1.1 compatible. We also made substantial changes to the mesh, so while it is very recognizably the Skyranger, it is not the exact same Skyranger as seen in XCOM: Enemy Unknown/Within. 

In the meantime, here's some screenshots of Skyranger shenanigans: 

This was from an earlier beta version. In newer versions, the overheating problem has been fixed.

Few things:

1: For some obscure reason, the fuselage engines are active at lunch.

2: The cargo bay doesn't seem to sheild whats inside.

3: How to seat on the bay seat ?

And a suggestion: Nertea have a ajustable ramp, you might want to check it out.

Sounds very much like a cfg or installation error to me, I doubt it's an obscure reason, in fact the odds are against it,  but posting your game log would assist in speedy identification of your reported issues.

A few things noticed when building it

 

1. Lack of undercarriage (not that much of a problem though, I did re-download and checked to make sure I didnt get a duff one to be sure)

2. the 3 wing attachment nodes, none of them line the wings up flush with the fuselage, I guess one is the right one and the others are for other things but none of them line it up

I noticed the first part too, and I couldn't quite figure it out. I just linked it to ActionGroup 0 and hit that on launch. 2: IDK. 3: Not entirely sure, keep in mind the mod is WIP.

I'll look into the suggestion.

time to go kill some things from inside the craft for once

also, themed engines or stock? and rotatable engines or separate?

cargo bay has working ramp (if so, this is now another priority install from full mod clearance, along with BD armory and Skunk works planes)

might make a vid on this once 1.1 is stable

[News]

By this weekend, the XKOM Dev team will begin working on 2 new updates. The first update will bring bugfixes, and possibly techtree integration. The second one, v2.0, will bring new content (i.e. parts) and maybe visual overhauls.

loaded it up

rotatable or separate? that was on the wings, rotatable for vertical and horizontal

i see now that they are separate

Hi simply because it was designed by committee! The position of the wings has a massive influence on how it flies, the more forward of the positions ( my favorite) makes for almost perfect horizontal flight characteristics,  and the further back positions (the committee's favorite) make for much better VTOL handling at the detriment of horizontal flight behaviors .  so mount the wings depending on how you would like to use it

Not yet, but an XCOM 2 update is possibly being planned, after the bugfix and the super-cool super-secret content update that I can't tell you about.
