How do you share worlds?

If you want to do pass-and-play multiplayer, you should make sure you have the exact same game data folder as your friend (if mods, make sure you have the same versions of everything). Then the file you need to share with your friend is the one labelled "persistence". Send it to your friend and make sure they copy it over their own persistence file

sounds like you're doing a sort of turn based thing, so what @Budgie said should work. Have you tried using the DarkMultiplayer mod for a more "live" multiplay? (I've not tried DMP in a while and it took a bit of head scratching to setup, but it worked pretty well and I build a Mun base with a friend, it's probably been improved a lot since then too).

All that is good, but the thing says "File 'presistent.sfs' incompatible". Maybe I'll have to make it a .txt file.

I tried, doesn't work for me, but I'll try again.

Erm, you're gonna have to be more specific.

Are you uploading the save to a file sharing service? Is his KSP install saying the save isn't compatible?

I play on Windows, KSP Bro KS plays on a Mac, and it says it's incompatible within KSP, when I open the save.

I email it to him.

This shouldn't be an issue. I play on mac, I've persistence file shared with a windows user. Dumb question maybe, but have you both made sure that you're running the same version of KSP? I can't think of any other reason for this to be happening, if your game data folders are exactly the same

Of course we are playing on the same version.

Wait. What, exactly, are you doing when you copy over the file. Can you also take a screenshot of the error message you get? (use F1, or Fn-F1 on a mac, it will appear in your "Screenshots" folder in the KSP directory. Then upload it to a file-sharing site like imgur and paste the image link.)
