Saturn V isn't ~that~ bad :/

satvb.jpg  It's pretty wide for it's height

Still in KSP that high rocket would wobble like crazy during ascent without any other support than normal joints...

...Wait, do we also have kids ?

"I'm Scott Manley, fly safe... ^_^"

When you read that last part in Scott Manley's voice.

When you calculate how many miles you can drive with your car in DeltaV

But cars have such terrible fuel fractions.  They're a shuttle-hater's worst nightmare!

You know you play KSP too much when you're in a car and you expect the wheels to act slightly buggy in exactly the same way that your Mun rover does, and you are surprised when they don't.

Maybe yours don't. Want my car?

On topic: when you decide to go back to school for an undergraduate in Aeronautical Engineering even though you're already accepted for a Ph.D in Astrophysics.

A large sign is that I'm so excited about 1.1 that I started a Kerbal hiatus a month ago but spend hours daily on this forum, watching videos and fantasizing about what I will do when my hiatus comes to an end...

...when I somehow relate and successfully demonstrate on a piece of paper orbital mechanics to a topic of middle-school math that I am tutoring.

Edit: and the student understands the concept better than subtracting negatives...

Welp, after playing KSP for hundreds of hours I now definitely understand what's going on in the Apollo 13 movie. Now I get why they couldn't just stop, turn around and go back, I also understand the talk about re-entry trajectory. I should definitely watch that movie again. I also started planning a future Duna mission in my head at work today. ^_^

Omigod, I just had a revelation.

For some reason I was on Steam, reading the reviews for this game (disturbing story, let's just skip that part), and someone had written "day 10: so THAT'S how you land! day 50: wow, space planes are hard! day 500: i haven't seen the Sun in weeks....."

Immediately upon reading that last line, I realized. I go for a walk every day......and then it hit me:

You know you don't play enough KSP when you see the Sun every day!!

That grinding noise all of you just heard was my paradigm shifting without a clutch....... :0.0:

Doesn't everyone do that?

Gosh, there are strange people in the world.

I managed to make up most of it my head until now. But since 1.1 is around the corner just waiting to break mission and rocket designs  i don't actually want to try it out without risking to waste my time (been there, done that with 0.90 and 1.0).

But ideas keep comig up and fill up valuable space in my head, so i started to use a plain text file as a vent.

There's also spreadsheets, mathlab and project management software :)

A simple whiteboard also helps for some fast scribbles or mid term ToDos :)

Yeah, strange People in the world....who think KSP experience is limited to the time KSP.exe is running and you sit in front of it.....i can't get behind that mindset.

I have a KSP screenshot slideshow as my work PC wallpaper.

Today I was closing down and saw the green fuel level indicators on the staging display and thought 's**t I'm running out of fuel' and tried to press X to cut the throttle.
