Ionic Eeloo

Hey, I haven't been here in a while. So Hi! again. But, Let's get to the point of this challenge.

Now, an interesting fact about me, I raise goats. Yes, you heard that right. Goats. I named.. my goat Eeloo. I've just received him and I thought it would be cool to make a challenge including him. 

The challenge, is to build a rocket that will fly from Kerbin To Eeloo using only Ion propulsion.

There is an exception, you may use solid fuel/liquid fuel to get out of the atmosphere.

Rules: 

The rocket must be unmanned

Only Ion Propulsion allowed after leaving atmosphere

Rocket must be small. Not huge.

Must land on Eeloo, Not a crash landing

No cheaty mods.

You are NOT allowed to use the Mechjeb probe cockpit from the mod.

You don't have to go back to Kerbin.

How is this a challenge? Ion is by far the most efficient propulsion system in a vacuum (Jets might be more efficient but they need an atmosphere with O₂). And unmanned makes it even lighter therefore easier. Similarly not requiring a return trip makes it even easier. A trip to Eleloo is no small feat but not necessarily challenge worthy.

There's also the challenge Ions, Ions Everywhere which you must have missed (currently it's on page 3 of the challenges thread so easily done) that includes a manned (which would be harder) trip to Eeloo as one of its challenges and requires a return to Kerbin.

I think this is a good challenge but, as said, it has been done recently.

I propose making your ship actually look like a goat, and flying it to eeloo, and landing it on all 4 legs. *starts building in VAB frantically*

Single Goat To Orbit.  Also to Eeloo using ions.  Do I get a badge for this?

Im going to try killing two birds with one stone

i am doing a challenge were i go ion to jool and back but i might try to do a fly bye of eeloo maybe even land I'm going to go count my delta V maybe i can modify it to land on bop an eeloo and have a video out next week

Here's my stock trip to Eeloo (oh and back too) with just ions...

 I think shows you don't need a giant craft, refuelling, assembly in orbit and such to explore the outer planets.

Is that a 1.1 ship?  I can't tell as the giant navball isn't clearly visible

Wondering if ions have had any changes for the update.  This was my best of 1.05.

It is a 1.1 ship. No, as far as I can tell, ion engines haven't changed.
