is there a way to remove parts of KSC?

Well, you could use Kerbal Object Inspector to figure out what the names of the GameObjects are, and then run:

[KSPAddon(KSPAddon.Startup.SpaceCenter, false)] //I think that's how that goes...
public class ExampleClass : MonoBehaviour {
    
	GameObject obj;  //Define a GameObject

	void Start () {

		obj = GameObject.Find("gameObjectName"); //reference to the part you want to remove
      		destroy(obj); //Destroy the GameObject

	}

}

I did the KSP-specific parts off of memory, so it might have some errors in that part.
