Does Kerbal Space Program have a speed of light?

Does it take actual time for Kerbol's light to get to Kerbin? Or is it instant?

You can reach the speed of light and even exceed in in KSP with some tricks but i don't think the visual model of the planets where you see them at any given point is modeled correctly.
I believe you see the other Planets, and Moons in real-time.

But if somebody knows for sure please correct me if I'm wrong.

Well is there a speed of light. Like does it take time for Kerbol's light to get to Kerbin like is there actual delay.

Probably not.

I'd wager the "lighting" you see has nothing to do with the "sun" you see just like every other video game.

It's all smoke and mirrors. Pay no attention to the man behind that curtain.

I don't think so, or at least there isn't any that I've observed. Might want to ask one of the SQUAD developers here for a firm answer.

With Distant Object Enhancement you could look at Jool, note the positions of its moons, and then jump to a ship at Jool and see if they were the same.

Nothing beats observational evidence.

Or transmit science from Jool, jump to Kerbin and count the minutes until the science report comes in ; )

RemoteTech

"Communications delay, caused by the speed of light, is also simulated. This could be a mere irritating 0.5s delay near Kerbin SOI, or a perilous 10-minute delay in interplanetary missions. To combat this, RemoteTech2 also provides advanced flight computers that can execute premeditated commands on mark."

I had trouble understanding relatively in college. Can't imagine dealing with it in KSP.

But of trivia: did you know GPS algorithms need to account for relativity? Even the relatively (pun not intended) slow speed of GSO is enough to impact measurement accuracy.

Then again, KSP does do wonders for teaching orbital mechanics.
