Staging Glitch

Recommended Posts

I have no idea what broke or how to fix it. The game broke when I opted in for the 1.1 beta and since this problem happened I have un/reinstalled it and nothing. Even the official 1.1 release didn't help, I'm adding links to show you what I mean. In the VAB there is n staging icons and on the launchpad there's only question marks plus all the engines are going off. Anything that will help me resolve this issue would be great.

There was a conflict with old versions of RCS sounds (v4.4 and below) and the latest module manager for 1.1, it also affected anything that had particles to it like rcs jets as well as decouplers. Just delete RCS sounds if you have it, then download the latest versions of each (rcs sounds is version 5 now)

I have this problem too in the latest game build. I don't have RCS sounds installed, any other ideas?

I'm using CKAN for:

you'll have to do a clean install of ksp, put the mods in gamedata one at a time and load the game each time, one by one, till you find it. That's the only way i'm afraid

Im afraid the cause of this is not from rcs sounds , this occurs on mods that did not update there engine vectors for thrust. KSP 1.1 overhauled how it does its thrust vectoring. My shuttle pack from Mike NZ has this same issue. Question marks for staging icons, engines that fire inside the VAB , and when the clamps release there zero thrust, but the engine effects are there. Same symptoms as the OP, but the cause is more serious than that. Anyone else have this? Maybe even a fix?
