i recently went through lemmy era hawkwind. i really wasnt that impressed. the albums felt like a couple good songs wrapped in a whole lot of filler.

Wow... Someone else has actually heard of Hawkwind?!?...

Yeah... If you are a Motorhead fan, and introduced to Hawkwind, only thru Lemmy's connection, most likely you WILL be highly disappointed...

Hawkwind is not the type of music to pop in to the dash during daily commutes, or to listen to as you would usual popular music...
You really need to be in a chilled out, open-your-mind, focused on a single-task kind of environment to get it, or enjoy it...

Hawkwind is.... well, almost a genre unto itself... Right now, the closest I can think to compare would be early Pink Floyd?
