Bigger VAB?

Recommended Posts

You know those times when you're building a rocket to all of Jool's moons or whatever when you find your self in a incredebly annoying situation.

NOT BIG ENOUGH VAB.

You scratch your head and ask your self "SHOULD THIS NOT BE STOCK?".

You know that you can drag a rocket into the ground of the VAB? Just build your rocket from bottom to top. Take a remote guidance unit, build your segment, then add a new segment on top with a new guidance unit, reset root and remove the lower guidance unit. Rinse and repeat.

OR: Build more efficient rockets :-)

Doesn't it wobble more?

Depends on which Docking Port you use... but you can get pretty decent multi-part ships that don't wobble.

Honestly, at the upper end of payload masses, being 50- 250t, the VAB could be a tad bigger. I've had a few designs that scrape the ceiling, and putting them in the floor isn't all that attractive. in like 98% of cases its fine.
