KSP: Salvage One - turned - video game??

It just occurred to me: KSP is basically a game-ified throwback to an obscure 1970s TV show: Salvage One!

Check out the trailer and judge for yourself!

I remember being enthralled by this show when I was a kid and thinking "I wanna do that some day". Perhaps that's why I find KSP so addictive?

I remember that show! Six episodes total I think.

IIRC: In the pilot, he goes to the moon, in violation of several laws and treaties. He thoroughly vandalizes the historical site that is Tranquility Base. Steals as much US property as he can, returns to Earth and faces no legal repercussions.

Then the writers seem to not know where to go from there.

(entire episodes are on YouTube - Episode NINE? i think it was canceled in the US by then),

Dude, how did I miss this? 1979... that explains it. I was in college. Anyway, after watching the video... KSP - Salvage 1, coincidence? I think not.

Wow, you were in college in '79? In that case, I'll get off your lawn! :D

That's right young whippersnapper, I pre-date MS-Dos. My first computer was a Commodore Vic-20 with a cassette tape backup. Heck, I even remember when Pong was amazing. That said, my music is still cooler than pretty much anything I've heard in decades. Now you kids move along before I call the cops. :D
