Music while playing KSP

"Fanfare for the Common Man" is and always will be the best soundtrack for a launch, or indeed the culmination of any magnificent large-scale project.

"Holding Out for a Hero" and "The Final Countdown" are both pretty awesome for nail-biting down-to-the-line emergency landings.

I have a classical playlist that is great for KSP, including:

Arvo Part - Kanon Pokajanen, De Profundis, Tabula Rasa being my favourites.

Chopin - the Nocturnes in particular are great.

Saint-Saens - I love the violin concertos but all of his work is good.

I do find choral music is very good for KSP too - Brahms - German Requiem, Vivaldi - Gloria, etc. I've got an album by The Tallis Scholars called 'The Best of the Renaissance' which is a really tacky title but a great album.

Lots of other stuff - Bach, Schubert, Debussy, Mahler. I listen to classical radio when I'm driving and discover new stuff every week :)

Lets see - my playlist consists of 26 song now.

4 versions of "The Final Countdown," (Original, Orchestra, Sped up, Nightcore)

7 2sfh songs, (To Glory, Sky Titans, United we Stand, Heart of Courage, Dragon Rider, Archangel, Don't remember)

3 wintergatan songs, (Marble Machine, StarMachine2000, Sommerfagel)

the Star Wars theme,

2001 theme,

William tell overture,

2 nightcore songs (not counting the final countdown nightcore) (Good time, Firework)

Ground Control to Major Tom, (20)

Eye of the tiger by the London Symphony Orchestra,

2 versions of "Raining Tacos," (Regular, Sped up)

The "Pirates of the Caribbean" theme,

Kerbal Space Program Metal theme cover

and I cannot remember the other one. I'm not at that computer right now.

But nonetheless, it makes for an awesome game experience. I once had a space shuttle crash - and survive - perfectly in line with the 2001 theme.

I was listening to the Interstellar soundtrack yesterday.  I ended up getting some epic action song while landing my shuttle.  The song was so epic that one of the shuttle's wings sheared off.  I almost landed it, but I crashed to fast, so I reloaded a quicksave and purposefully sheared the wing off again and got everything in tune to the song, actually landing it as well, albeit in the water.

Does anyone else listen to music while playing KSP?  I had an awesome moment today when I had Jeb coming in from Duna (my first manned interplanetary return on this career save) and right as I was coming in for reentry, Titan Spirit came on.  Lead to the most epic sounding mission conclusion I've ever had in KSP.  Do any of you listen to music while playing KSP or is the stock soundtrack good enough for you?

Film scores:

Star Trek the Motion Picture (if my namesake didn't give that one away, but out of all his Trek scores, this one works best for long space flights)
Explorers
Alien
SpaceCamp

And adding to the list of streaming radio stations, check out:

The Cryosleep station is the most ambient. Not only do I love listening to that when I want to get really immersed and feel the lonely emptiness of space, but at a rough time in my life, listening to it was the only way I could get any decent rest.

I really enjoy this for space and exploring. Minecraft has a great OST.

Oh wow... I've never played minecraft, so I hadn't heard it before now.  That is really, really good!  Thanks!

It depends on what kind of mood I am in. There are some, when I am testing out new aircraft designs, that it seems AC/DC, Guns n Roses, Metallica, Def Lepard seem more appropriate. Then there are others where it just seems that Strauss needs to be played, like when I am docking with a space station... Yeah, I am an official member of the "I am lame" club.
