EVA bug

Ive discovered a weird EVA bug on my modded install (quite a lot of mods). Specifically, when I board a vessel from EVA, the kerbal in question stays on the ladder, and cannot be switched back to. Anyone seen that before?

Additionally, Distant Object Enhancement, FAR, MFI, Persistent Rotation, PlanetShine, Procedural Fairings, RCS Build Aid, and RemoteTech are installed, although they do not appear in the list above.

Discovered that the bug in question depends on having KIS and KAS installed.

What version of KIS and KAS are you running? I have it installed via CKAN and have it there up to date (KAS 0.5.7 and KIS 1.2.9) and I do not have said issue. So either its a clash with another mod you install or you might be behind? (Or CKAN is behind then its a bug in newer version of those)

Have just determined that its an incompatibility between KIS and Kerbal Krash System. If those two are installed, that causes this bug. Guess KKS has to go for now!

 

EDIT: using KAS 0.5.7, KIS 1.2.9 presently. Installed all these through CKAN.

Okay. I don't have KKS installed so it might be the root of the problems (in conjunction with another mod)

KKS plus KIS are the only two mods needed to install to reproduce, so its not rocket science.

i get This stuff in the logs and a "copy" of a kerbal on the ladder if i :

1. EVA from space station with an engineer

2. have stuff in the inventory 

3.reboard with the stuff in the inventory (wrenches, book,spare tank,electric drill thingy) 

I DONT get it if i EVA and reboard with empty inventory . I will investigate if I can attach a container on the outside to hold my tools..

now after modifying the kerbal's inventory i dont get it anymore. What happened was i brought up an engineer and a scientist from the ground with tools. I crew transferred them to the space station, then remembered that the tools are in the ship and moved them from the ship inventory to the engineer inventory for the new engineer and one existing engineer. Also the exceptions are gone from the log.
