Well, I couldn't figure out a way to make them since the rocket is just so huge, plus it'd be pretty much imposible to perform the landing since I can't control x4 crafts at the same time lol

I don't know whether they're updated for 1.1.2 yet, but there's a "SpaceY" mod that could give you the legs (though you'd want to tweekscale them) and there's a mod which I forget the name of right now that allows you to fly the payload to orbit, then go back in time and control a detached part of the craft, land it, and recover, and your original payload will end up right where you left it in orbit!
