The Kerbal Space Program: A Head-Canon Tale

Well life has taken me on quite the surreal journey since the last time I was here. I started a new job, moved three times, bought two cars, and spent a long time reading books. I spent some time reading the NASA technical history series, and quite a few memoirs. One thing I am left with is a much greater appreciation  of the challenges faced and overcome by both astronauts and cosmonauts. That deeper understanding is what brings me here today.

I want to continue this story. The problem I have is that in the intervening years I am not quite in the same headspace as that lackadaisical younger man with fewer grey hairs and nothing on his mind. The attitude and style of the story is likely to change, but I will resist the urge to go back and "fix" what I have written before. That is why I am reviving this thread rather than starting a new one.

So who knows? Maybe we can continue this short voyage into space, and possibly improve upon what came before. I have a shallow outline for another chapter, spending my extra brain power while working thinking about where we go from here. I just have to rebuild my career installation, and re-host some pictures.

I'll also need to find time to do some writing.
