Notice how the legs magically lifts the tank up well before any part of the leg touches the ground. Looking at the MU in blender and testing the config file line by line... I don't see anything at all that would contribute this behavior.

Wheels/landing legs are bugged in 1.1.0-2. I wouldn't even bother searching for an answer and roll with it as long as they do the job (considering that Squad literally went on vacation after releasing 3 bugged versions).

Ahh... Okay, it's the wheelColliders then. They get placed at deployTgt at run time (when the piston rods pop into place at the beginning). LT2 has large wheel radius so that lifts up the tank before the suspension raycasts hits the ground.
