Unable to transfer crew

So i'm doing a rescue mission and when i right click the command pod to transfer it says "transfer interrupted" then nothing happens. I have limited resources and need to get them back to kerbin asap. I've tried rotating who was in the ship to do the rotation and tried to use ship manifest to do the transfer but then it wont let me close any windows since the transfer is in progress, yet still nothing happens. My only thought is that the pod doesnt have a hatch on the bottom to connect to the crew cabins door to allow the transfer but i cant remember ever having this issue before..

I had ship manifest installed improperly. Figured it out
