@Murican_Jeb @CobaltWolf I trace from a collective number of blueprints from the internet. I also dedicate most time of the day when I 3D model, texture and import to avoid forgetting where I left off. Unfortunately I got caught up watching anime again. Shameful lack of discipline.

Which anime have you been watching? I've finally started One Punch Man.

@Murican_Jeb Saw the trailer. It was awesome. Though we were a little slow so we couldn't release on pre-1.2. It appears Tanner got sick for a while which delayed our release. Hopefully we can pickup the pace and release asap. He's replied now to update his status at least. He was away for a while because of it.

Release 5.0

Alright, here's the hot 1.2 patch! For a formal changelog, check out the OP, I've updated the album and everything else.

I've added 2 more engines, both of which as requested by @Artfact and @Murican_Jeb. I ran out of ideas so I think it was the perfect time to add some of the requests for the timeline. Do note that it's been hard to make sounds for these since they are old. So with those in mind, the next phase should be a go for next release - modern age.

I also restructured the folders as I said a few posts back, sorted Early and Pre-modern. Delete the group you don't like if you think that there are too many parts. Also, there are 2 more added MeshSwitch for both K1710 and Whirlwind. The designs are pusher props.

Most of the complaints and issues last release as we know them are hopefully fixed had it not been forgotten. Tanner made most of the performance config fixes. I've chipped in for some minor edits and fixes only. Most especially, most of the early flight engines are now severly nerfed, most are great for cruising around, but pre-modern engines must be the go to for faster travel.

Here's an eye candy:

My internet is a little slow at the moment (it was hard to upload!). I can't see if the album in the OP is fine. I'll edit it if it isn't once this connection is fixed. But I'm sure those in the download sites are fine so you can take a look there.

@pheenix99 It's not that it's not compatible. It's most likely possible to make it compatible with Tweakscale should you decide to make some config modules. Although I haven't made any effort because more dependencies = longer waiting time before update.

Edit: I'm sorry the update came a little late. I had to make sure most if not everything was fine before I release. Especially since I don't want to hassle people with re-downloading the mod. I've tested through and through. Although I've made post test edits, hopefully everything is fine.

I guess I meant compatible from the get go. You know how some parts are and some are not. Either way, it'll still give me plenty of additional options for my airships

Are there any electrical engines by chance?

@pheenix99 In that case, it's not made with tweakscale from the get go. Regarding electric engines, I'm not sure. I'm more inclined with turboprops and helicopter props than electric ones. But we'll see.

@halowraith1 Yes, turboprops and helicopters. I have two old parts made already but I'm not sure if I should remake them or tweak them. Time will tell. In any case, post away. Doesn't mean I will be able to do them, but at least I can reference back to some posts just as I did on the recent parts. No harm in posting suggestion and feedback. :)

About rotors, I always had a very bad time trying to use firespitter rotors, they simply don't seem to work right, generate some weird tilt force and make everything unstable.

It would be better if yours used custom code or stock modules. But I am not sure if you are into coding. I wish I had time to write something but I don't. :/

As you can see here, there's three different designs. According to my sources, design B was the most likely to be built, so that's not such a problem.

Specifications (Design B):

Power: 4,700 shp, sea level, static (+2,200 kg residual jet thrust)

7,000 shp, seal level, 800 km/h (+1,425 kg residual jet thrust)

            3,280 shp, 10,000 m, 800 km/h (+790 kg residual jet thrust)

            5,500 shp, 12,000 m

Airscrew Speed: 925 rpm

Weight: 3,500 kg

Specific Fuel Consumption at 800 km/h (kg per ehp per hour): 1.46 at sea level, 1.06 at 12,000m

Airflow: 100kg/s at 800 km/h, sea level

Diameter: 1.25m

Length: 6.0m

Airscrew Diameter: 3.5m or 4.0m

Engine 2

Spoiler

Daimler Benz DB-021 (Turboprop HeS-011)

02PAQsv.jpg

Specifications:

Power: 1950 shp, sea level, static (+500kg residual jet thrust)

2400 shp, sea level, 800 km/h (+585kg residual jet thrust)

Airscrew Speed: 1,800 rpm

Turbine Speed: 10,500 rpm

Weight: w/o cowlings: 1,266kg

             w/ cowlings: 1,306kg

Diameter: 0.910m

Length: 3.696m

Airscrew Diameter: 2.5m

Engine 3

Spoiler

Junkers Jumo 022 (Turboprop Jumo-012, apparently built in USSR as a predecessor/prototype for the NK-12)

fctMDlA.jpg

Specifications:

Power: 4,600 shp, sea level, static (Jet thrust values unavailable, but possibly around 800-900kg)

3,500 shp, sea level, 800 km/h (+1,200kg residual jet thrust)

Airscrew Speed: 1,200 rpm

Weight: 2,600kg

Diameter: 1.063m

Length: 5.640m overall

I got another idea for the mod (sorry if you are getting a headache from ideas) Can you add a Junkers Jumo 211 inverted V12 engine? (Yes, I know, another V12 engine ) It's an engine from the Ju-87 Stuka:

Can you add this engine?
