Why does Windows Mode still don't proper work ?

Recommended Posts

In Windows Mode, I can't see the bottom lines of screen, because the screen don't considered the Top Window Bar.

I wish for me a Frameless Windowmode, or consider the Window Bar and Fit the Window, or let me Rezize the Window like a Window should be get resized.

But the actual Windowmode is useless, because important parts are hidden and can not adjust.

I assume you're not a native speaker, in which case, I must advise you: Lighten up on the caps. You need one at the beginning of a sentence, and one if you're referring to a specific named thing. Other than that, nowhere.

Regarding your actual question, yes, that's actually highly annoying-even for me, when I played on Mac, the screen would always be shifted about a half-inch down because menu bars.

Hello @Thargan

Sorry but Squad has no control over the interaction of the Unity3D game engine window and your operating systems window manager, so this is not likely to work properly unless your operating system has settings to disable window border snapping.

But, the Unity3D engine allows a borderless window mode using the -popupwindow command line argument.

Make a shortcut to the KSP.exe

Open its rightclick menu.

Open its properties.

In the Target box, add a space after the "

add -popupwindow

Click 'Apply'

@sal_vagerOn a related note, is there a way of keeping the borderless window open if I select another program (in my case on a second monitor?).  I'd like to keep KSP visable, but browse the web whilst I wait for transfer windows etc, but at the moment it minimises the KSP window whenever it isn't the actively selected program.  I'm guessing this will be a Windows setting (10 in my case) so not a Squad issue per se, but if you know where the setting is hiding??

Apologies @Tharganfor jumping on your post!

I'm not sure on this one to be honest as it doesn't happen on Linux.

I run in 1600x900 windowed, which usually works pretty well.

But yes, having free window resizing (so I could maximize up) would be really great. Not sure whether that's a KSP limitation or a Unity limitation, though.

I dont care of this.
This is not this, what I expect, after two years.

Well it works, thx.

But it is not nice.

As player, I don't much like looking for solutions like this.

I'm still anoyed.

It's hardly their fault. SQUAD has no control over this.

Make sure it's set to windowed inside the game, at the resolution of your monitor. The -popupwindow argument just removes the borders.
