Why is landing gear behaivour so unreliable.

Ok so I've designed an AWACS plane but once in the air it an only land in the water because of how landing gear work. On takeoff and ascent to 2,000m the gear will show as Unblocked and will happily deploy but as soon as I bring it down for descent into landing I can't deploy the gear as it say that it is blocked.

Seriously squad fix this issue, the game is nearly unplayable for me with this issue.

It's tricky cos you have quite a few mod parts there, including what the gear is attached to. That's gonna make a bug report problematic unless you can repeat it with all stock parts.

I had the same bug with a front gear, when I reloaded back to the higher altitude I was able to retract the gear.

I fly a lot with retractable gear in stock, and I have never once seen that issue. So I definitely suspect your mods.

It happens with stock parts too. the collision mesh for landing gear is too big, same problem with the rover wheels.
