Ketris.
Blocks burst when fall or when their heap is too large.

 

Kess, a Kerbal chess.

All pieces are of the same color (green).
But of three types: Coachman (former pilot), Subworker (f. engineer), Assistant (f. Scientist).
You can compose your army in any proportion at will, the types make no difference. Piece count is also arbitrary.

Pieces can move in any direction at your wish and even jump. Jetpacks are available, too.
Sometimes pieces lay down and sleep. You can't awake them back, just accept this.

Game board 8x8 cells This is a game engine limitation.
Cells are usually black and white light green and dark green, but you can set one green color for all of them if your board is weak.
Also you can place terrain trash on random cells.

Castling: use Connected Living Space mod for better castling.

BDArmory FPS mod allows your pieces to use firearms and portable rockets. Warning: some players may treat this a a griefing.

Clang is only as much a joke as the Kraken. The real one, back in the Old Days of floating point imprecision.
