Hello,

I would like to install this stunning looking mod but i am not having any luck with CKAN. I have been getting the following runtime error for the last 2 days:

CKAN%20SVE_zps2mbdq8dv.jpg

Is your Mod dependant on CollisionFX like CKAN suggests? Or is this red herring? That mod is currently not on the CKAN listings as far as I know due to being not stable / up to date.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

I do not have CollisionFX installed on my current mod build. CKAN cache has been cleared.

Many thanks for your time!

Do not install via ckan.  It's broken at the moment.  Install manually.  Also i have never even used collision fx so I don't know why it says it's dependent on that.  I don't use Ckan for reason just like that

Thank you for clearing that up - I thought it was an odd dependency! :lol:

UPDATE: RESOLVED

I deleted all CKAN related files from both my documents and KSP install folder and downloaded from anew. This resolved the runtime error but now an file clash error came up (which is what I like CKAN for). Determined, I deleted KSP entirely and reinstalled clean, reinstalled CKAN - issue now fixed, SVE installs via CKAN.

As I'm coming back to the game after a years hiatus, looking forward to the enhanced visuals with SVE on 64 bit!

You'll find your Kerbals have their little whatever passes for noses on Kerbals pressed against the window once they hit orbit. You're gonna love this mod.

Sweet! One of my favourite things is to put a green pilot in a Mercury capsule and send them on an 80km skim over Kerbin at about a 53-degree inclination. The visuals put "The Right Stuff" to shame!

The new cloud detail looks amazing at 80km so you will be extremely happy and probably never leave low orbit again.  I can't bring myself to put my space station any higher than 80k

I have Mir parked at about 140km. That keeps it out of my normal parking orbit for big excursions (120km). And yes, that's a TKS docked to the station.

Oh, then there was this from an LK landing on the Mun just a bit ago:

That was from the LK's upper viewport. Totally changed the tenor of the landing for me. Kudos, mate. You stopped me in my tracks with this one.

I'm glad you like the sun flare that is possibly my favorite mod I ever put together.  That alone bringso much immersion to the game for me and I love when others include it in the screenshots. It tells me others like it as well

I had no idea how much it would amplify the immersive experience until I was flying a Gemini launch IVA only. It was a night launch and the spacecraft's circularisation burn coincided with a spectacular sunrise through the capsule windows. I barely kept my wits to make the burn, but I botched getting a screenshot of it.

Hello,

I seem I can't get clouds working at all... :( I used CKAN to install the mod in high-resolution variant, but when I load the the game, all clouds get invisible. I do admit, I'm not playing on a stock version, but I limited visual mods to SVE, SV Terrain and SVE Sunflare. I did not install Scatterer separately, as from what I understand, it's bundled with SVE's main package. Does SVE has any issues if the planetary system is not 100% stock (i.e. when I have OPM and/or other solar system packs installed)? I tried launching with OPM uninstalled, but to no avail. I also tried reinstalling SVE, to no effect as well.

I do not support ckan.  But yes, if you add a mod that changes the stock planets name or adds clouds itself,  there will be conflicts.  There is a way to get opm and sve to work together but where to find it escapes me at the moment..  Maybe @Nhawks17 can point us in the right direction?

I'm having the same problem as Astraph. Atmospheric effects are there, as well as city lights, but no clouds. Not even on the other planets like Eve or Duna.

I do not support ckan.  Try a clean,  manual install of SVE.  Run the game with just SVE and add your other mods one by one to see what causes the issue.

OPM and SVE work out of the box together, if it isn't working then something is wrong with the save.

Is there a way to turn the sun flair down? I don't mind a little. A little is nice, but default to me is way too much.

No there isn't a way to turn it down as its just  texture BUT you can use any sun flare mod out there and pick one that isn't so invasive

Well, guess I need to manually try switching mods off then... Thanks for help, at least I know now there is no quick fix to that. ^^'

So I have returned to KSP after a long Hiatus(before launch actually lol), and am trying to install this mod along with SVT. I am starting with trying to install SVE, as when I do both I cannot get past the main menu. Clicking on load or a new games does literally nothing no matter how many times I click the load or start buttons. So I deleted SVT, and am simply trying to run SVE at the moment. Scatterer obviously works as it pops-up an options dialog when I load KSP, and I see the sun flare and atmospheric effects. However, SVE seems to not be working as I see the default planet(no clouds, etc). I copy/pasted the mod files to the gamedata folder and left them in the SVE HR 1.07 default like the readme says? What am I doing wrong here? Note I am trying to run the x64 version if that matters, and I am using the stock game. I literally just installed it, and tried your mod with no other mods or anything.

Thanks for any help!

SVE doesn't always show on the menu screen - you can't use it as a meterstick of if the mod is working or not. Same goes for the tracking station... SVE is meant for the flight scene, and that's the one where all the pretties are shown. Not sure why SVT would cause any problems, given that it's just textures though... possibly a bad download? The other thing that occurs to me is that, possibly, you are running in 32-bit and there might be a memory issue there. At any rate, try getting into orbit and looking out the window - there's a reason all the screenshots are from IVA or with the spacecraft in the scene. :)

So I have returned to KSP after a long Hiatus(before launch actually lol), and am trying to install this mod along with SVT. I am starting with trying to install SVE, as when I do both I cannot get past the main menu. You are not supposed to leave the files in SVE HR 1.0.7. Go further into the folder and put StockVisualEnhancements, EVE and Scatterer into your gamedata folder.
