VAB / SPH lighting - what is wrong ?

Hello everyone! I hate to be that guy, but it looks like parts graphics appearancein the VAB  became much worse since 1.1 arrived.

I'm not a specialist, but seems to me something wrong with shaders, may be ??? Parts lack gloss, and in general rockets look like it is Direct X 8 or something like that.

In 1.0.5 a rocket looks like a real thing in the VAB, with all that ground personal and trucks, and I used to  admire a lot  my glorious creations.

But in 1.1.3 it's kinda meh... Everything looks like cheap plastic. Even with something like Ven's revamp, 

What I really want to know, is it considered a bug, and it will be eventually fixed, or it's a kind of intentional deterioration of graphics in the VAB, and I have to suck it up?

Is there any official developer's statement on that?

May be, but "unity 5" is not an answer for graphics degradation. I doubt unity 5 have such problems with shaders.

For example Subnautica visually became better, not worse after moving on unity 5.

Win 8 64bit, 64bit KSP. AMD Radeon 7950 if that matters.

Found topic with similar problem, but no clear conclusion in it.

Everything is maxed up. Also 1.1.3 has only 4 shadows cascades max. 1.0.5 had 16 or even 32.

May be it is intentional graphics degradation after all? Ahem, consoles ports are coming. Navball and interface in general became Huuuge...  *put on tinfoil hat*

I don't think there is an official comment anywhere else except maybe in the recent dev notes. We're aware of some of the lighting issues in the VAB/SPH and have been working to improve them. For example:

Oh yeah. The entire HUD is extremely big and doesn't scale to my resolution... 

Maybe squad wants to do weirdly scaled mobile games?

*Puts on Gold foil hat and monocle*

Thanks, I saw that, but I have no idea but those screens suppose to show. Also, it's disturbing that no parts shown in the scene, so may be this issue is not going to be addressed...

Could you upload 1 or 2 screens from your VAB/SPH

Those pictures are specifically for the lighting of the editor scenery itself, which is why there are no parts in the scene. If you take a look at the editor lighting now, probably most notably the ground, it might be easier to spot the differences.
