Interstellar: Refueling Fusion Reactors/DT Vista?

So, I've built a very expensive DT-tug to carry a heavy base to Jool system.  I figured out that I have to run the reactor for a year while waiting for the window (to keep the LH2 cool during 'blackouts' during orbit).   I noticed waiting a year used bout 40% of the deuterium in the reactor.   Apparently, the reactor will share (?) with the 1000 units in the Vista, since it shows '22 years' of fuel left (and drops to ~1year when the drive turns on).   Assuming there is an automatic cross-feed (guess I'll find out halfway to Jool...).

Question: when this whole stack comes back to Kerbin, and I want to use it again- how do I put more deuterium (and eventually, lithium) back into the ship?  When I select the Vista and the Reactor, there's not any transfer button.    I've read a few posts on how to refuel fission reactors, but nothing on fusion and/or Vista drives.   I'd hate to think I spent $1.5M for a one-time use craft that I can't refuel.   The additional dV wasn't that much better than what I could have built with LV-N drives (and I can mine for liquid fuel).

Sdrevik, wondering if you ever figured this out. I'm having much the same issue and wondering how to keep my D-T's chugging.
