Rover wheel issue.

Recommended Posts

I haven't played KSP since version 0.90.0 and i am totally unfamiliar with the new rover wheel stuff such as traction control. there seems to be an issue when I use them where the wheels on one side go forward and the ones on the other side try to go backwards, and therefore the vehicle does nothing but do one sided burnouts. Am I configuring the wheels wrong? I am just switching on symmetry and slapping them on.

Sounds like you are using radial symmetry. If you use radial for wheels, you'll encounter this problem a lot.

Press "R" to switch to mirror symmetry, this will make the wheels work correctly.

(Basically if they are "radial" they will be placed "opposite" from each other which is bad for things like which direction the wheel spins.)
