The Space Odyssey Series

Im thinking about reading the series, because I saw the first movie '2001 Space Odessey' and the second '2010 The Day We Make Contact'?

The whole series really intrigues me and I love the idea of deep space exploration. Oh and quick side note, yes I have seen Interstellar. (;

There's even more science in the books. A lot more detail that the movie sacrificed, like how much artificial gravity is in the Discovery's centrifuge.

Definitely worth reading. But avoid the 4 part - it's garbage.

If only that vision of the future had been achieved. NASA had plans for that kind of thing to happen. They really knew how to dream. This series is awesome!

While Clarke's original story underwent seven re-writes before evolving into 2001: A Space Odyssey, I would suggest you start with the original first - The Sentinel. It's a short story, a good primer, a seed if you will, and you'll finish it in a day.
