Hi BlackLine:

looks like a pretty heavy build of KSP in my opinion but anyway: could you give your PC specs? Heavier-modded builds results in higher demands of hardware and will cause instability As that build will instantly crash my Macbook of I run that build. Remember, PCs do have its limitations and if you really wanted to play with those mods, a better CPU and GPU will help as memory was not an issue since it indicated 48% usage at the time of crash.

I would first recommend a complete fresh install of stock KSP and slowly adding mods until the game crash, there you know your PC had hit its limits.

cheers,

Hi YangQiming_

thanks for the post, my Specs should actually be enough: Intel E3-1245 V2 (Quad 3.4Ghz), 16Gb RAM and a GTX 980 Ti.

The installation was not that old (1-2 weeks, about 20 hours of gaming), although i usually install and deinstall mods on a (almost) daily basis. *All instllations were done by CKAN (*Kerbokatz AutomatedScienceSampler was installed manually, since it's not available through CKAN)

I had about 4 hard crashes since my last post, not a single logfile though...

For SVE,  Stock Terrain,  install manually and see if that helps. You shouldnt have to install SVE sunflare separately,  as it's included in SVE.  I'm not a huge supporter of CKAN as it can cause wonky things to happen.  I would suggest installing everything manually and see if it helps.  SVE and SVT shouldn't be causing crashes at all. Your specs are pretty close to mine and I have never had an issue.  The only think I can say is different is you installed everything via CKAN also if you have Fraps installed,  try running without that too.  I doubt it's the issue,  but can't hurt to try

I would recommend you do all this with a fresh install of ksp as well

Alright, although being a fan of having stuff done for me, ill set up another (5th or so) copy of my ksp folder and give it a try. Ill miss fraps.

For the sunflare thingy: I get forced to choose one by CKAN...

I know ckan forces it but I'm a little unsure why.  Also,  5th copy  is nothing. :)

Having things done for you is nice,  however,  having an idea of what mod is causing problems is also pretty great and that's what you get when you install things manually.  Ever heard,  if you want things done right,  do it yourself? It definitely is true with ksp mods.

I have used Fraps in the past so I don't know if that's an issue.  But for troubleshooting reasons I suggest you remove it. Once you get the game running stable,  you can add it back and I'm sure it will be fine

Might be a little OT, but how do you keep all the mods up to date? Scan posts for new releases every day?

you can do that but a lot of mods utilize AVC or miniAVC and it tells you when you are booting up your game if things are out of date

Ok, short feedback: I installed all your stuff @Galileo manually, and it seems its working better already. Had some NAN-krakens, but not a single hard crash. Thanks for the help, and maybe you could try to get the CKAN stuff in a proper order.
