Would it be possible to make a mod that allows a separate window for ksp map view? That way i can have both up at the same time. If that already exist please link me to it.

I'm pretty sure someone's done it by running a seperate KSP client for the actual ingame map but I can't remember the mod. In the meantime, Telemachus will give you flight stats and a map with your craft position overlayed, in a browser.
