Hello everyone, I started a new career with TAC installed and i'm hitting a wall with oxigen, water and food in the early game, they deplete too fast and I have no parts to tackle the issue, any suggestions? Another mod maybe?

Hi, i m not very experimented, but at early game for me, i just can make a fly by around Mun.

With some sciences, i can rapidely get more room for supply.

Hey. My English is not very good, so reading the entire thread is difficult. Once upon a time there was a mod that allowed using TAC with Kerbalism. In the latest mode, everything was turned off, except for radiation and habitability. And life support is taken from TAC. Is there a similar modern solution?

Does someone know If there's a way to make the co2 scrubbers and water purifier work in the background? Because currently when I'm not actively flying the vessel the supplies keep on draining even though when i switch to it the recyclers are producing more than is being used.

Has anyone else encountered an issue whereby the consumption rate of food all of a sudden increases dramatically.  Regular consumption rates are approx .36 food per day but kerbals are consuming that every minute.  Adjusting the TAC life support consumption rate in settings does nothing, was wondering if it was some kind of time warp bug, but had previously not had any issues when using time warp.  All other resources are working as intended, reinstalling mod does not solve the problem at this time.

Need a bit more info. Such as, what window is open. What was happening at the time? Can you supply some simple reproduction steps?

When you add the food container and launch the vessel jeb immediately eats all the food

I don't see that myself. You will have to provide a lot more information.

Nope. But providing as much information as you can would help to reproduce the problem.

ie: Step by step, what to do to see the problem? Providing save files also helps. (assuming your save doesn't have 50 other mods installed).

JEB CONSUMES THE FOOD MODULE AND THEN THE ENTIRE COMMAND POD WHICH IS A JOKE.

i should of said that was a joke.

is posible to use the Background Resource Processing mod as standalone?

I don't see why not. BackgroundResources is a continuation of this mod, and it looks to be as standalone as it ever was, only with more features (mainly to support TACLS and DeepFreeze).
Have a look around in the source for an idea of which other mods and stock systems it supports.

Greetings! -is posible to use the Background Resource Processing mod as standalone? Thanks in advance!

Nothing stopping you, except it won't do anything unless a mod has been written to specifically use it.

Far as I know only TAC LS and my other mod DeepFreeze are the only two that use it.

I will be trying to integrate On Demand Fuel Cells into it soon.

Does Background Resource Processing mod fix the issue that makes TAC-LS says vessels are running out of EC even if they got a nuclear power plant onboard? It's a tad annoying having to go through all my manned vessels one by one every x days to refresh their EC

nuclear power plant

Depends on the mod providing the reactors. If they're using generic resource converter or Near Future Electrical modules, they should be supported by BackgroundResources.
Have a look at the source to get an idea which modules are handled for unloaded vessels.

Thank you very much @JPLRepo for this update.

However i noticed after updating, that the Life Support items, in the assembly buildings, are now showing in both Utility and Life Support tabs.

I always delete a mod first and then place the updated mod, so there could not be some old files leftover.

Kind Regards

Edit:
Found that this is only happening when TAC-LS is switched off in difficulty settings.

Please tell me where to edit the parameters of consumption and production of resources Kerbals, except for the game menu?
I can’t make the exact settings with the mouse.

I changed the settings in the config, but nothing has changed in the game. But I noticed that the parameters specified in the config do not correspond to the numerical parameters in the game menu.

If you look at the configuration parameters from saving, it turns out that I am changing the wrong parameters.

TAC_SettingsParms_Sec2
        {
            upgrade135 = False
            displayFoodConsumptionRate = 0.992674
            FoodConsumptionRate = 4.5957129310678553E-05
            displayWaterConsumptionRate = 0.648922
            WaterConsumptionRate = 3.0042686396174959E-05
            displayOxygenConsumptionRate = 100.6398
            OxygenConsumptionRate = 0.004659250047471788
            displayBaseElectricityConsumptionRate = 1008
            BaseElectricityConsumptionRate = 0.046666666666666669
            displayElectricityConsumptionRate = 454.9
            ElectricityConsumptionRate = 0.021060184902615017
            displayEvaElectricityConsumptionRate = 7.117
            EvaElectricityConsumptionRate = 0.11861666838328043
            displayEvaLampElectricityConsumptionRate = 2.089
            EvaLampElectricityConsumptionRate = 0.034816666444142656
            displayCO2ProductionRate = 163.3207
            CO2ProductionRate = 0.0075611432393391928
            displayWasteProductionRate = 0.16982
            WasteProductionRate = 7.8620368407832252E-06
            displayWasteWaterProductionRate = 1.55679
            WasteWaterProductionRate = 7.2073610844435512E-05
        }

The parameters highlighted in red correspond to the parameters from the game menu, but I cannot change them in the game save configuration.

Apparently, I don’t understand something. I want to adjust the settings so that one tank (3.75) with life support is enough for 1 Kerbal for no more than 1 year.

I want to assign the same parameters for waste, 1 tank is filled in an equal number of days. The idea is that Kerbals consume resources and produce waste in a 1x1 ratio, although it is more logical to assume that less waste is produced than resources are consumed.
