[1.3.1] Carrier Vessel Expansion (CVX) [ver 0.13.1]

Hey guys... How do you park your planes on the deck without slipping when the carrier moves? I tried to use KAS pipes but once connected, the plane and the carrier explodes and flies off to space. Any ideas? I'd like to park a whole bunch of FA-18 on my carrier :)

This is a really great mod, I really like the lifts going down into the hangar and the deflector shields, but here is my problem...(using ksp 1.2)
the Aircraft Carrier Accessories provides a craft called enterprise and I've tested that and it sits great on the water and land without any problem or any kraken attacks.
The Nimitz is sometimes fine on load, sometimes not(90% of the time it fails on load) here is a list of stuff that happens:

On launch load
-game freezes for a second(while physics kick in) and the sun explodes and all of kerbins water is drained
-Nimitz jitters then its suddenly going  5million times the speed of light(literally, flew past jool in the space of half a second) 

In world load(once in the water and loading up an aircraft and taking off)
-Nimitz is just perfectly fine until you fly in close and then suddenly it vanishes and if you have it set at a target, your target speed suddenly goes to NaNm/s
(I know once you go over 5km away from it, the ship unloads, but when flying back to it, the ship reloads around 3km but then suddenly vanishes)
-Reverting launch once Nimitz is in the water causes Nimitz to suddenly vanish, followed by a huge load of lag

I've tried using KJR and Part Weld
I've tried taking off the engines and rudders(taking off/welding the rudders seems to fix On launch load problems)
I've tried changing the mass in the config file for all the Nimitz parts
I've tried using the same config as the enterprise does and that fixes a few issues, but doesn't stop the in world load problems.

Would having the Nimitz mast and bridge and engines and rudders being the one single model be a good idea? it would fix the joint issue and make it easier for people to build on since this carrier is soo huge.

This Is seriously a cool mod.

@SparkyFox The two best mods I can recommend to go along with this would be. Airpark so that you can leave a boat in the water and fly away / back to it without it going nuts.

 
 
And Hanger extender so you can work on such a large scale build like this.
 
 
And as far as the loading / splody bits. Try to push the rudders and engines up into the hull. So that when loaded the boat rests solely on the main hull.

Hangar Extender was a great help and moving the splody bits was even better :) thanks, though...Airpark didn't really stop whole "Bermuda triangle" problem, but it stopped exploding and flying out the universe, so that's a huge plus, thanks :D

Right now it is only for version 1.2. Also 1.3 update coming soon. Airpark isn't needed anymore.

This is the WIP TDD-1 Tuatha de Danann Super Submarine Aircraft Carrier based off of the one in the Anime Full Metal Panic!.

In this image I have already cut the doors for the deck but the engines haven't been modeled yet. Plans are to add a small underside bay for a small exploration submarine like the one by @RoverDude, full functioning flight deck for VTOLs, and hanger with drag cube to allow walking around underwater. There will be torpedo tubes and VLS tubes for BDArmory.

Once I have the files off of my other HDD, I'll be back onto finishing the Kuznetsov, Essex, and Wasp. The wasp was almost completed before everything went down.

I love this mod, just a bit of a problem, when I put the carrier in the water with vessel mover (since hyper edit seems to be giched as when I try to land it, I always land on a random part of kerbin where I die no matter what lat/ long I tell it to go to) I land in the water successfully, but when I power it up, it barely moves (at like .3 m/s). I know it goes faster as I had it working before when hyper edit was cooperating. Please help me fix this problem.

using 1.3.1. ive been super excited to try this out a bit. tho it has issues its still fun to play with for sure. great job so far!

 

 

EVA  and CREW ISSUES

kerbal portraits missing, so i cant go eva. also...im assuming if i could go eva with a kerbal the only way to get out onto the carrier deck would be from the wheelhouse door? so any kerbal chillin in their rooms below deck would need to be transferred to the wheelhouse before going outside. is there is door below deck?

SPEAKING OF: i cannot transfer crew from the wheelhouse to the carrier, i get the message, "CLS -This module is either full or unreachable(different spaces)" and no, im not at crew capacity on either module

i find it a bit strange that that aft deck has a door..but there isnt a door on the rear wall below deck.

 

"In-flight Issue"

Kraken bug still occuring. happens during a capsize, which seems to happen over time, with sas active or not im not sure, but it'll slowly keep rolling the carrier over into the water more and more.

some suggestions from me would be:

add a few attach nodes on the  around the vessel so we can attach things like radar, storage tanks, anchors, etc

somehow address the energy creating vessel roll lol (i kept thinking about how a pendulum works and laughing)

give us a way to access the aft deck more easily(id love to get back there without a bunch of rig-a-ma-roll

place the elevators(not the big lifts) somewhere else. how about very forward bow and aft?? i just dont see much use in both of them being in the middle of the ship. but thats just me maybe

built in anchor? ive been having a terrible time trying to get a proper anchor working

different texture\colors?
