I hate having to hunt down the docking port to release my ship, especially on larger space stations.  So I give you:

THE UNDOCKINATOR

Push a button, it undocks.  The part that will be undocked is highlighted in yellow when you hover over it (as in the image above).

  • Supports DPAI integration, to both show the name and allow easy renaming.
  • Supports both stock and Blizzy's toolbar

Does this work in ksp 1.1.3

Nope.  It uses features only available in 1.2.  If 1.2 doesn't come out soon I'll look at back-porting it.

Anything that means I don't have to try to use a right-click menu is a godsend.  Nice.

You might like seanmcdougall's Part Commander too:

It helps with some things, but not when you have 20 identical docking ports :)

It's very nice.   As are TCA Fuel Balancer, and ShipManifest.  :D  (I'm just starting to experiment with SmartParts to help as well.  I really try to avoid right-click menus - they fail to appear at the most inconvenient times.)

Uh... Is it just me, or are the buttons multiplying?

@hab136You might want to look into that bug!

Every time you F9 the toolbar button creates a copy of itself in the toolbar.

Love your mod but had to remove it for the time being.... :/

On the latest version (0.2)?  I thought I squashed that bug.  Also, this is the stock toolbar, right?

Part Commander is in a new thread now:

Hello and thanks for this great mod.  I'm getting the icon multiplication bug on the stock toolbar, every time i switch vessels I get and extra non-responding button at the bottom of the stock toolbar.  The original button is still there and it works. I have undockinator 0.2 on KSP 1.2.1.  I just want to confirm this is still a known bug.  thanks,

I just posted v0.2.1 for KSP 1.2.2.  I can't reproduce the multiplying toolbar buttons in this version, so give it a shot.

Does this mod help with the welded-docking-port bug?  I never had it strike me until very recently (1.2.2)

Probably not, I just check the same things as the "undock" command, and call the same functions.  Claw's Stock Bugfix modules had a "force undock" for 1.1.3, but that work was incorporated into stock.

KML Persistence editor has a "fix docking ports" function, otherwise you can edit your save file with notepad
