Recommended Posts

As a part of the Long Distance Naval Challenge/Contest, I decided to also try for a Elcano Challenge circumnavigation of Kerbin's oceans.

Primary Objective:

  • circumnavigate Kerbin mainly using bodies of water: TBD

Secondary/Operational Objectives:

  • place markers to make naval navigation that can be shared with others: TBD
  • provide place names to various points that can be shared with others: TBD
  • keep land-based transportation to a minimum: TBD

Oh and i need to remind you that you need wheels because it is not posibol to sail all the way around kerbin. There is a small strip of land you need to cross.  Oh and it aginst the rules to sail halfway around kerbin turn around and go back:wink:

Voyage of Quarterway and the Pip is now up.

  • Stock submarine(The Pip) onboard
  • A Kerbal places a flag in the deepest part of Kerbin's ocean
  • The Kraken awakens and nearly destroys the ship

Extended Voyage of Quarterway and the Pip is now up.

  • Stock submarine(The Pip) onboard
  • A small dockable hydrofoil (The Oceanbug) is carried in the hold (range of ~40km)
  • A Kerbal places a flag in a bay ~1/4 of the way around Kerbin from the KSC
  • No underwater flag Kraken problems.
