What is "Engine Group" ?

I have searched but all I get is results about action groups, which I know about.

In the following shot I set 2 engines to G1 and 2 to G2, but I can't get them to switch off or on. How do I use this feature ?

It is part of the MOD Throttle Controlled Avionics.

The information you seek is in the manual provided by the mod.
