Kerbals at War - The very first KSP War movie

It's mainly because it's something that would be terrible for a space flight game, but still awesome. That's what mods are for, to make games do things they weren't designed to do. KSP was never intended, and will never be intended to be a war simulator, but mods can make it into one. Just because it's awesome, doesn't mean it's something that should be stock.

after all of this positive feed back i still dont know why the devs dont put weapons and stuff into the game it would be cool

They want to concentrate on all the other stuff! There is quite enough scope for a purely peaceful KSP as it is. To make a full-blown war simulation would at least double the effort (and final sale price), and to make a half-baked war simulation would add nothing except make it slightly easier for movie makers. If anything a half-baked war simulation would reduce the sales of KSP - war-sim enthusiasts would deride it for being crap, and space-sim enthusiasts would deride it for being war-like. It would please nobody, and it would fail.

And finally, it's not what the developers want to do.

well not a fully blown war simmulation but more like militerized satalites, for like communications, maybe a large ion cannon at most, but it would be kinda cool for that stuff though

well putting orbital defeanse satalites into would be cool or mun missle bases, but also the not shooting at your own ship but the other ksp on the other side of kerbin sending stuff at you, well maybe there could be an alternate "cold war-esc" sorta game mode where you have to fend ooff attacks and stuff i guess..

Ah, there things get harder. Simply creating enemy Kerbals and having them shoot at you is very hard work that would take away from the rest of the game OR make it so expensive nobody buys it. And once you've written that basic code, making the "enemy" shoot at you in a balanced and enjoyable fashion takes a huge amount of work. One of the constant criticisms of RTS games is that the balance is wrong - get it right and the enemy are defeated too quickly and easily, get it wrong and they are impossible to defeat - and the difference can be down to a slight imbalance of units or a slight territorial advantage. And these are purpose-built RTS games, not sims with RTS tacked on!

Could someone post a link to the mods used in this video? I did a search but some of them are hard to find.

Yeah, this. I can't seem to find anything on these forums, but if you type

site:http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum

and what you want to search into google, it's a little better.

e.g.

 site:http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum "Damned Aerospace"

I would love to see an MMO KSP with all the mods... Think of it. Everyone starting from their own solar system, naming their own planets, finding their way to other solar systems, blasting the crap out of each other in interstellar space... It would be beautiful! All that seems to be missing is an FTL drive for interstellar missions.
