Mun or Minmus?

When thinking about my career games, it's Mun because I always use krewed missions and I always use a life support mod. Getting to Minmus can take a long time, especially if not doing an efficient transfer, so early missions are usually to Mun to avoid all the LS expenses for a long flight to Minmus.

The Mun is easier to intercept without patched conics unlocked. The only reason I go there first, now that I think about it.

I haven't been to Minmus for ages as I got bored with it. It's just too easy - no real challenge. The last few career/science mode games I've played I ignored Minmus completely.

I always land on the Mun first. Considering what humanity has done in '69... there's just that epic sense of nostalgia and accomplishment when you actually do that as your first extra LKO mission. If Minmus were my first ELKO mission, it would be a bit of a pushover and in fact it's kind of - actually it quite is - anticlimactic. Given, for future missions, I always establish stations and mining operations on Minmus versus the Mun, for obvious reasons. Although you need ~100 Delta-V more to get there, the overall mission needs much less than Mun.

I love both worlds equally, although to me the Mun is just so very strange and I love it for it's strangeness. Then again, irl The Moon has always been such a strange world to try to imagine - for me at least. And airless world with no blue sky and much lower gravity, and very dusty. Oh my! When doing a Mun Mission, I love listening to this:

I just look up the mission logs: I have been to Minmus seven missions this career, while Mun has 16 missions, and the Mun missions have tended to be far more complex.

I have always liked the Mun because it's like a small planet of its own while Minmus is just an icy rock far away from Kerbin

Although i like Minmus more, i prefer getting to the Mun. Its much easier to get an encounter with.

minus bro the moon is just a bit heavy on the dv for landing and coming back. not for minmus tho. however sometimes going to the mun can be a bit fun but i prefer minmus

Personally I think that the Mun is better. Minnmus is just a little bit too far away, and using a ship equipped for Minnmus and taking it to the Mun allows for more dV in case of mistakes.
